The incognito artist known as 13 started making a name for himself in the music scene after the release of his debut single “Eradicate” in 2017. Since then he has spent countless hours in the studio working with analog synthesizers to create a recognizable sound of his very own, garnering support from deadmau5’ label mau5trap and the powerhouse producer Rezz. After his collaboration with Rezz, “DRUGS!”, came out on her sophomore album last year, his popularity only continued to grow.
Now, after two singles already out in 2019, he’s ready to release his new EP on mau5trap, Revelation, with its first single, “Oath.”
“Oath” is characterized by a looping vocal chant and incredibly heavily textured bass synths that fall right into the midtempo realm. The atonal bass is punctuated by brief moments of melody and rhythm, enough to just keep you from losing your mind if you heard this live.
