21 Savage has issued an apology for controversial lyrics in his new I Am > I Was song “ASMR.” The track features the lines: “We been gettin’ that Jewish money, everything is kosher.” The lyrics came under fire for perpetuating negative Jewish stereotypes over the weekend when LeBron James shared an Instagram story quoting “ASMR.” “The Jewish people I know are very wise with there money so that’s why I said we been gettin Jewish money,” 21 Savage said. “I never thought anyone would take offense I’m sorry if I offended everybody never my intention I love all people.” See his tweet below.

I Am > I Was arrived last Friday. It features Childish Gambino, J. Cole, Schoolboy Q, City Girls, Post Malone, and more. Yesterday, 21 Savage shared a reworked version of the album’s “Out for the Night” featuring Travis Scott.
