Elements is days away, and if you aren’t excited already, it’s time you get there. The lineup is stacked, and the activities are going to be insane.
To get in the spirit of the holiday weekend, we decided to list 5 must see acts this weekend. It’d be too easy to list Disclosure, Fisher, Big Gigantic (all of whom are must see acts) so instead, we’re going to focus on some names you may not have heard of, but deserve just as much recognition. Check it out below!

Mosie

Mosie is a group that I personally have been wanting to write about for a long time now, but haven’t found the opportunity given they are a tad outside of the typical genres we cover. The self-proclaimed “Boston based bratwurst bump” duo is the savory musical collaboration between Boston-based singer/songwriter/producer Jesse LeVines and musician/producer Aidan Brody. Originally, Mosie began as LeVines’ solo project, but eventually the small town Massachusetts local teamed up with Brody to begin cooking their debut studio album, Tangerine (2018). Tangerine was the album of the summer, with their hit track Oh! Frenchy being my first introduction to their tasty beats. Be sure to check them out.

Memba

Memba has been a staple on my Spotify for the past few months. I went to their Facebook page because I wasn’t even going to try to classify their music, and I was right in thinking that – they classify themselves as genre agnostic.
Regardless, these two New Yorkers have been putting out heat for sometime, including great tunes like “Stand Off” and “Pull Up.” Be sure to check them out.

Akki

Akki is a New York staple I’m so excited to see perform. She is one of the more wholesome acts in New York City, and has an incredible story to share. In fact, she actually has shared her story on a recent interview at Beyond The Beats Podcast.

“I spent the majority of my childhood in Australia and Singapore and grew up playing the electric organ as well as training in classical music + dance. When I left Singapore and moved to New York, I eventually started DJing, and found my niche in Brooklyn’s underground scene. Over the past few years I’ve played bigger NY nightclubs such as Webster Hall, Output, Schimanski, all the way to smaller warehouses in deep Brooklyn – supporting acts ranging from Walker and Royce to The Magician as well as Aluna George. “

What I’m most looking forward to about Elements: Getting back on the pirate ship, finding the courage to rock climb, meeting some of my favorite artists and making sure my hair doesn’t catch fire when I play the Fire stage.”

Baynk

Baynk is a go to for chill vibes, and is someone I’m so excited to see at Elements. His track “Come Home” always puts me in a good mood, and is great for relaxing out in the summer sun this weekend.

The New Zealand based producer most recently released his track “Water” which is a heartstring pulling bop filled with perfectly distorted guitar licks and balanced vocals. Check him out at the Earth Stage.

Rawle Night Long

Rawle Night Long is a DC based artist playing his first Elements festival this year.

I came to my first Elements Fest last year, and after witnessing the Golden Pony close out with a track from me and my buddy, I knew I had to come back…It made it that much sweeter when I was asked to join the lineup this year! I’m so excited to share the Fire Stage with friends, family, and even some of my idols (looking at you, Justin Martin!)”

Outside of producing, Rawle Night Long is an A&R for Chub Rub Records, and works on Diplio’s Revolution at Sirius XM. Don’t forget to check him out at the Fire Stage.
