Six people were taken to the hospital after being injured by pepper spray at a Jpegmafia show in Berlin, The Associated Press reports via Germany’s Deutsche Presse-Agentur. The incident took place at the city’s Huxleys Neue Welt concert hall, where an as-yet-identified person reportedly sprayed the irritant during the concert. Jpegmafia was forced to end the show early, and approximately 1,600 concertgoers were reportedly evacuated from the venue.
The incident is being investigated by the police, according to The AP. Pitchfork has reached out to Jpegmafia’s representatives for comment and more information.
Jpegmafia is touring Europe in support of his 2024 album, I Lay Down My Life for You. His next show is scheduled to occur tomorrow night, January 22, in Milan Italy. The rapper is planning to release a new album, I Lay Down My Life for You (Director’s Cut), soon.
