Peter Frampton has sat down for new interviews with “CBS This Morning” and Rolling Stone, during which he revealed that he has been diagnosed with Inclusion-Body Myositis (IBM), a rare degenerative muscle disease. The diagnosis came three-and-a-half years ago; Frampton expects the muscle problems will eventually progress into his fingers, affecting his ability to record and perform. As such, he’s announced a farewell tour spanning North America, kicking off June 18 with a show at the Joint in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Find the full list of dates here.

Speaking to RS, Frampton revealed that he’s recorded a new double album, set to be released around the time the tour begins. He also teased “another single album that we’re finishing off tracking next week and then after, if I can muster it, we’re going to do yet another project.“ One dollar from every ticket sold on the upcoming tour will go to the Peter Frampton Myositis Research Fund, a new fund established with Johns Hopkins University.
