A$AP Rocky has been forced to cancel his upcoming Tomorrowland performances, as well as a number of other gigs, due to his incarceration.

The hip hop artist was recently taken into custody following a fight that unfolded in the streets of Stockholm. Video footage surfaced soon after the incident, which depicted A$AP and his crew as the peacemakers during much of the altercation.

That was, until they found out the two men they were beefing with had sexually harassed a couple of women, thus instigating a brawl. His actions have been described by his management as “self-defense.”

It’s been reported that A$AP is currently facing inhumane treatment in a Swedish jail. It’s unknown how long he’ll be held or the severity of the potential charges against him. What we do know is that he’ll be unable to show for his upcoming bookings.

Sonar Festival released a statement direct from A$AP Rocky’s management:

A$AP Rocky is being detained in a Swedish jail for an unknown period of time for acting in self-defense during an altercation that took place. Due to this unfortunate situation he is forced to cancel his European festival and tour dates in July.

He was also scheduled to perform at Splash! Festival in Germany, Dour Festival in Belgium, Atlas Weekend in Ukraine and Melt! Festival in Germany.
