Every year, Australian radio station Triple J hosts their annual Hottest 100 list conceived through a public poll. This year, tons of our favorite electronic artists have made their shortlist. Leading the pack, Alison Wonderland has garnered seven nominations for Awake and What So Not snagged five nominations for Not All The Beautiful Things. RL Grime and Diplo each accrued three nominations for NOVA and California, respectively. Electronic hitmakers Baauer, Calvin Harris, Cashmere Cat, deadmau5, Disclosure, Dillon Francis, Major Lazer, ODESZA, and ZHU also made this year’s shortlist. Rising stars like Benny Blanco, Jai Wolf, Kasbo, Louis The Child, and Whethan have also garnered a number of nominations. Our personal favorite newcomer Mickey Kojack has two songs shortlisted, “Get Out” and “All That Acid”. Unfortunately, Triple J limits it to just ten votes per person so you’ll have to make some tough decisions. Voting closes January 22, 2019 and this year’s Hottest 100 will be announced January 27, 2019.
