André 3000 was on the Tuesday night episode of The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. He sat down with Stephen Colbert to talk about the experiences that led to his new album, New Blue Sun, and performed the 10-and-a-half-minute song “That Night in Hawaii When I Turned Into a Panther and Started Making These Low Register Purring Tones That I Couldn’t Control … Sh¥t Was Wild” in full. Watch the performance and interview below.

Earlier this week, the former Outkast musician announced a tour supporting New Blue Sun, where he will be joined by Carlos Niño, Nate Mercereau, Surya Botofasina, and Deantoni Parks (all of whom also performed alongside André 3000 on Colbert). After New Blue Sun’s release last November, “I Swear, I Really Wanted to Make a ‘Rap’ Album but This Is Literally the Way the Wind Blew Me This Time,” the album’s 12-minute-and-20-second opening song, debuted at No. 90 and became the longest-ever song to chart on the Billboard Hot 100.
