South African singer-songwriter Nakhane has shared a new song called “New Brighton,” featuring Anohni. It arrives along with a visual directed by Iggy LDN; check it out below. The track appears on the deluxe version of Nakhane’s 2018 album You Will Not Die, which is due out February 22 via BMG. “Having ANOHNI – a musician who created a tectonic shift in my life – is still unbelievable to me,” Nakhane writes in a statement. “I wanted her to sound like an ancestor in the song: ‘Never live in fear again.’ Such a simple line, but sung by that voice, it becomes Biblical.”
