Bandcamp has announced it will open a new brick-and-mortar record shop and performance space in Oakland, California. It’s set to “feature a selection of records that showcase the diversity and design of the more than five million albums available on Bandcamp.” The new store opens Friday, February 1, and will be located at 1901 Broadway (near the 19th St. BART station). Opening celebration performances kick off at 7 p.m. and will include sets by Oakland artists including Bells Atlas, Sol Development, and more.
