Blood Orange, aka Dev Hynes, has announced a new EP. Four Songs is out September 16 and marks Hynes first release for RCA. Produced and written by Hynes, Four Songs features collaborations with Ian Isaiah, Eva Tolkin, and Erika de Casier. Peep the album art and listen to the first track, “Jesus Freak Lighter,” below.

While Four Songs is the first Blood Orange record since 2019’s Angel’s Pulse mixtape, Hynes has been busy. His recent output consists largely of scores and soundtracks including work on Luca Guadagnino’s HBO/Sky Atlantic show We Are Who We Are, Gia Coppola’s 2021 film Mainstream, HBO’s reboot of In Treatment, Netflix’s Naomi Osaka documentary,  and Rebecca Hall’s film Passing.

Blood Orange has been opening for Harry Styles’ 15 show run at New York’s Madison Square Garden. Hynes received his first Grammy nomination in the Best Chamber Music/Small Ensemble Performance for his composition Fields, which was performed by Third Coast Percussion.
