In one of the most unexpected collaborative twists we’ve heard of, Boombox Cartel is cooking up something with DMX.

The aggressive rapper thrived in the late 1990s / early 2000s, and the last time he released a full body of work was in 2012. There’s no telling what DMX sounds like in 2019, especially in the EDM realm, but hopefully he hasn’t lost his touch.

24HRS, who recently worked with RL Grime on NOVA, will also jump on the track. His sound is a sharp contrast from that of DMX, so the collab has potential to balance out nicely. Top it all off with Boombox Cartel’s signature trapped out style and there could be something here.

While our minds are racing with what this might sound like, the wait is already almost over. Boombox has also revealed the collaboration is dropping later this month. Stay tuned.
