The Coachella lineup just dropped moments ago, and we have to say, this is one of our favorite lineups in a while. The headliners, for once, aren’t all megastars or returning-from-retirement groups. Childish Gambino, Tame Impala, and Ariana Grande are young, hungry artists who are going to put everything they have on the line and I’m willing to bet they surprise you.

But the headliners are only one part of the equation. The rest of the lineup makes up 90% of your day at the festival, and it has to keep you entertained. Thankfully, most days that won’t be an issue.

Friday

DJ Snake, Diplo, RÜFÜS DU SOL, FISHER, Nina Kraviz, Gorgon City, Kayzo, Jauz, Chris Lake, Hot Since 82, SOPHIE, Nicole Moudaber, Pole & Pan, Nora En Pure, SG Lewis, Nic Fanciulli, Kolsch, Camelphat, Anna Lunoe, Walker & Royce, Ross From Friends

Saturday

Aphex Twin, Bassnectar, Four Tet, Gryffin, Bob Moses, Tale Of Us, Deep Dish, Idris Elba, CloZee, ARIZONA, Ame, Lee Burridge, Ookay, Steven Bodzin

Sunday

Zedd, Gesaffelstein, Dillon Francis, Cirez D, Kaytranada, Jon Hopkins, SOFI TUKKER, NGHTMRE, Guy Gerber, Shallou, Charlotte de Witte, Dusky, Yotto

DJ Snake returns to Coachella, as does Diplo (without Skrillex). FISHER gets higher billing than Kayzo, Jauz, and even Chris Lake — clearly Grammy nominations do a lot.

Aphex Twin and Bassnectar are the dance music headliners on Saturday, which is a strange look for Coachella but a very much appreciated one.

Sunday features even more heavy hitters, with Zedd, Dillon, and Kaytranada all returning to the Polo Fields. Gesaffelstein makes his grand return to the festival since he bid it farewell in 2015, and Eric Prydz will take the stage as Cirez D.

And keep in mind there’s still the Do Lab and Heineken Stage lineups still to be announced.

Passes go on sale Friday at 11am PT.
