For years, Compton DJ, singer, and producer Channel Tres has been releasing singles and EPs. He’s now ready to release his debut studio album. The new album is called Head Rush, and it’s out June 14 via RCA. Channel Tres has also released a new song, “Berghain,” a collaboration with Barney Bones that’s billed as the album’s lead single. Listen to it below.

“It’s about the time I played Berghain and how the culture in that environment made me feel, I didn’t feel weird anymore,” Channel Tres explained of his new song, named after the famed Berlin, Germany, nightclub, in a press release. “Everyone’s the same, the goal for everyone in that place is to enjoy themselves and be free, and music played a pivotal role in that. It was the main thing for me and I wanted to document that experience I had there through music so that I always have that memory in my life. So I can feel that memory while I’m performing and relive that experience.”

Channel Tres debuted in 2018 with the Godmode single “Controller.” The track, along with standouts “Jet Black” and “Glide,” featured on his debut, self-titled EP. Channel Tres released another EP, Black Moses, in 2019, and he has also since dropped the projects I Can’t Go Outside, Refresh, and Real Cultural Shit.
