UK born, LA/Shanghai-based bass DJ & producer Conrank knows his history. While the newest exclusive Circus Records signee has released plenty of his own brand of dubstep in the past couple years, there’s a lot of inspiration to draw from, and he put it all on display at Bassnectar’s Deja Voom.

For 30 minutes, Conrank threw down a dubstep throwback set that is positively brimming with classics and deep cuts that will make you pull out Shazam faster than an unfamiliar synth at a Porter Robinson show. It starts out relatively slow with Skream’s seminal hit “Midnight Request Line,” but it just gets heavier, more wonky, and more hype from there.

The throwback set is out today in conjunction with Conrank’s new collaboration with Mark The Beast, “System Up,” on Circus Records. Immediately you can tell that “System Up” is not even the same breed of dubstep as the classics displayed in the set above, but it bangs all the same. Get that here.
