DaBaby has been charged with felony battery by the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office. The charges stem from a December 2020 incident in which Gary Pagar, a 65-year-old rental property owner in Los Angeles, accused DaBaby of hitting him and knocking out his tooth, TMZ reports and court documents confirm.

Last year, Pagar filed a lawsuit against DaBaby and the rapper’s manager, alleging that DaBaby and his associates rented one of Pagar’s properties for a “private vacation” with “no more than nine people.” Pagar claimed that DaBaby agreed “in writing” that he would neither bring additional guests nor “use the house for commercial purposes, specifically including filming.” DaBaby allegedly hosted “40 people and a commercial film crew” at the house to shoot a music video for his signee Stunna 4 Vegas. Pagar claimed he was attacked when trying to enforce the capacity rules. Afterward, Pagar said, DaBaby and his associates “vandalized his house and left, after stealing various valuable items.”
