Exciting news for Darude and dance music fans in Finland!

Darude will represent his homeland in the Eurovision Song Contest this year. For anyone who hasn’t witnessed the international song competition — each participating country will submit an original song that will be performed live on radio and television. Darude provided a statement along with the announcement:

This is a huge challenge for me in many ways. When I was asked to represent Finland I felt a bit scared at first, but there as no way I could say no to my country! It is an honor to be part of this incredible experience and I only have positive expectations!

He continued on social media:

This is such an huge honor for me to represent my home country in this way, and I am SO excited to share the next few months of this crazy Eurovision experience with you all!
