Devendra Banharteven has announced Fragments du Monde Flottant, a new compilation of demos from various artists compiled by Banhart “over a period of many years.“ The collection features a previously unreleased Arthur Russell track, “Not Checking Up,” as well as rare and unreleased tracks from artists such as Nils Frahm, Vashti Bunyan, Helado Negro, King Tuff, and more.

The vinyl-only release arrives via Swiss label Bongo Joe on March 1 and will come “with one of six different colored cardboard packaging and one of six drawings by Devendra.” Banhart’s most recent album of original material, Ape in Pink Marble, was released in 2016.
