Perhaps even more revealing of the current state of dance music than the DJ Mag Top 100 is the list of 101-150, the DJs who just barely missed the cut off. Many of the DJs whom fans cried out, “Why isn’t [xxxx] on the list!?” have made it onto this supplementary one. And in a lot of way, this could be thought of as an even more legitimate list by many. Of course, as we’ve said before, no one single list will satisfy all customers.

This year’s DJ Mag 101-150 list includes a number of producers who are either rising through the ranks, have fallen in popularity off the Top 100, or some legacy acts that just won’t disappear.

Jauz just barely misses the Top 100, coming in at 102. The same could be said of fast-riser Julian Jordan who comes in at 106. Household name Martin Solveig ranks number 112 which Dutch party duo Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano clock in at 117. Krewella still hang out at 119, despite a rather slow year for releases and shows. Yves V, despite the massive support from the whole Tomorrowland team, still only makes it to 120.

Galantis makes it to 123, legends Erick Morilllo and Paul Oakenfold rank 128 and 129 respectively, Malaa gets in at 139, and Fatboy Slim hits 140. Slushii just barely makes the 150, coming in at the end of the list. (He actually dropped from last year, when he made it to 101.) And Jack Ü, despite breaking up years ago, still remains at 148.
