Tomorrow, January 25, DMX will be released from prison, as Vulture confirms via his lawyer. The rapper born Earl Simmons went to jail in January 2018 on a bail violation, after previously pleading guilty to tax evasion in November 2017. In March 2018, DMX was sentenced to one year in prison for felony tax evasion. Vulture reports that while his scheduled release date was January 27, the Federal Bureau of Prisons has a policy to release inmates on the weekday before their release date if said date falls during a weekend. He will reportedly be under supervised release for three years.
