Dogleg are going on hiatus, lead singer Alex Stoitsiadis announced in a message where he also apologized for “negative patterns of behavior.” Stoitsiadis wrote that he was “inappropriately possessive” and dishonest with partners and friends. “My selfishness, obsessiveness, and dishonesty are unacceptable and undeserving of a platform in their current state,” he said. Find the statement below.

In the statement, Stoitsiadis explained that he would “text and call obsessively” at the end of relationships and that he “did not give ample time or care to the issues of other people.” He wrote, “I am sorry to those I have hurt.”

Dogleg were set to open for Touche Amore on a North American tour in March. The band’s manager tells Pitchfork that Dogleg will not be playing any shows in 2022.
