Gryffin has been making his transition to pop steadily over this past year, releasing tracks like “Tie Me Down” with Elley Duhé and “Just For A Moment” with Iselin. It seems that he’s finally made the leap with “Remember” featuring ZOHARA.

There’s nary a hint of EDM in this single, where ZOHARA’s vocals mostly take center stage while Gryffin’s production serves as appropriate accompaniment. You might be saying, “But wait, what about the quasi-deep house synths?” Well you’d be right on that account. There are certainly elements of dance music in play throughout the single. But in spirit, this is pop through and through.

Before we go on, calling it pop is not a criticism nor is it an insult. It’s just telling it how it is. We did the same thing with The Chainsmokers and Martin Garrix when they released straight up pop songs, and look at how successful they’ve become.

“Remember” is a fun and infectious song, thanks to both ZOHARA’s vocals and Gryffin’s production. Without both of their input, this song wouldn’t be half of what it turned out to be. Listen to “Remember” below.
