New York based producer Mir has just torn my heart apart and put it back together with his latest single “Torn.” Combining hip-hop drums and a heavy sub with beautiful electronic vocals and processing, this song perfectly combines the two genres to form a piece of art unlike any other.
An immigrant to the US from Russia at the age of 4, Mir’s heritage has shaped the lens through which he sees the world every day. “Mir” means both “world” and “peace” in the Russian language, symbolizing the universal emotional connection Mir aims to provide with his music. It’s fair to say he achieved this emotional connection in his newest single.
Mir recently played his first show at New York event series Lunar Lounge, and hopes to play many more in the New York area.
