A diverse lineup of performers will honor Aretha Franklin at Los Angeles’ Shrine Auditorium on Sunday, January 13. Hosted by Tyler Perry, the “Aretha! A Grammy Celebration for the Queen of Soul” tribute concert will feature performances by Janelle Monáe, SZA, Common, Patti LaBelle, Celine Dion, John Legend, Brandi Carlile, Alicia Keys, Alessia Cara, and more. The artists will perform songs from the late soul legend’s iconic catalogue.

The concert will take place at 6 p.m. PST, and will broadcast later in the year via CBS. Of the forthcoming event, former Aretha Franklin collaborator and record executive Clive Davis said: “Aretha was more than the Queen of Soul; she was a national treasure. This unique concert—featuring many of today’s greatest artists—will celebrate Aretha in a spectacular manner befitting her once-in-a-lifetime talent.”

Franklin passed away in August 2018 after a battle with pancreatic cancer. She was 76 years old.
