Both JayKode and Blanke individually have been having a great 2018, but together, they’re ready to put an end to the year with a bang. Their new collaborative track “Artifacts” is out now, and it’s exactly what we wanted and more from these two.
“Artifacts” begins with a huge, anthemic intro with orchestral elements and soft piano notes. However, that soon gives way to the more harsh and expected bass elements bubbling just beneath the surface. With one swift maneuver, the beautiful and uplifting tone is replaced by discordant, sharp synths and basslines.
While it would have been a nice touch to make the second drop double time or augment it slightly, the effect of such a powerful drop really isn’t diminished, even having repeated it.
