Jim Legxacy is back with new music. Watch the video for new track “Aggressive” below. It marks the British multi-hyphenate’s debut for XL Recordings, after a string of self-releases, including last year’s breakout track “Old Place.” The video, directed by Fidel, was shot on Blackberry.
“Aggressive” follows Legxacy’s July single “Nothings Changed (!).” He co-produced the new song with AOD, Joe Stanley, and Tendai. The track samples British rapper Chipmunk’s 2009 single “Oopsy Daisy.”
Next year, Legxacy plans to release a mixtape called Black British Music (2024). Read about his 2023 record, Homeless N***a Pop Music, in Pitchfork’s rundown of “The 100 Best Albums of the 2020s So Far.”
