Yeah Yeah Yeahs frontwoman Karen O and producer Danger Mouse have detailed their new collaborative album. Lux Prima arrives March 15 via BMG, and is led by the new single “Woman.” “I like to write songs that anyone can relate to but this one felt especially for the inner child in me that needed the bullies out there to know you don’t fuck with me,” Karen O said in a statement. “I’m a woman now and I’ll protect that inner girl in me from hell and high water.” Listen below.
The title track of the new album, the duo’s first joint single, was released back in November. Karen O’s most recent album with Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Mosquito, was released in 2013. Danger Mouse recently revived his collaborative project with the Shins’ James Mercer, Broken Bells.
