Porno for Pyros’ pre-farewell reunion continues with the release of a holiday song called “Pete’s Dad.” The track is about the band spending the holidays with guitarist Peter DiStefano’s father. It also tells the story of DiStefano’s dad surviving cancer. Hear it below.
“Best friends are people of action, when Porno for Pyros created this song ‘Pete’s Dad,’ that’s when I knew these band of men were my best friends,” DiStefano said in a statement.
Though the band has referred to “Pete’s Dad” as new music, the song was originally released in 1995 as a standalone single. It does, however, follow the release of Porno for Pyros’ recent single “Agua,” which was their first new song in 26 years. The group’s farewell tour kicks off in February.
