Maxo has announced a new album. Mars Is Electric is the California rapper’s follow-up to his twin 2023 releases Even God Has a Sense of Humor and Debbie’s Son. Jacob Rochester and frequent collaborator Lastnamedavid co-produced lead single “Human ?,” and Vincent Haycock directed the song’s music video, which features Maxo rapping on the windshield of a car. Maxo is releasing Mars Is Electric via his own Smileforme label. It’s his second consecutive independent project, after sharing Even God Has a Sense of Humor and 2019’s Lil Big Man via Def Jam Recordings.
