Kevin Abstract has released his new album, Blanket. The Brockhampton founder worked on his Arizona Baby follow-up with producers Romil Hemnani, Jonah Abraham, Tyler Johnson, Kid Harpoon, John Carroll Kirby, and Julian Ali. He also enlisted indie artists Kara Jackson and MJ Lenderman for the album’s closing song, “My Friend.” Listen to it below.

Romil Hemnani and Jonah Abraham co-produced “My Friend.” MJ Lenderman provided vocals and guitar, while Kara Jackson sang vocals on the track. “My Friend” also has strings by Jamison Baken.

Kevin Abstract previewed Blanket with the title song, “What Should I Do?,” “Running Out,” and “Madonna.” Regarding the album, he has said, “I wanted to make, like, a Sunny Day Real Estate, Nirvana, Modest Mouse type of record. But I wanted it to hit like a rap album.”
