A new John Prine documentary has been picked up by Sony Pictures Classic, as Variety reports. Tentatively titled John Prine: Hello In There, the documentary tells the story of Prine’s journey as a singer-songwriter, and began filming him during the lead-up to his 2018 album Tree of Forgiveness, his first album of new music in 13 years. In addition to segments featuring Prine, the film is set to include interviews with family members as well as artists like Margo Price, Jason Isbell, and Sturgill Simpson. A release date has yet to be announced.
