Nicki Minaj has joined the voice cast of Angry Birds Movie 2, Variety reports. The Sony Animation sequel hits theaters on August 16. Minaj is set to join Jason Sudeikis, Josh Gad, Bill Hader, Danny McBride, and Peter Dinklage, who will all reprise their roles from the first film. New cast members include Leslie Jones, Awkwafina, Sterling K. Brown, Lil Rel Howery, Zach Woods, and others. Angry Birds Movie 2 is directed by Thurop Van Orman and co-directed by John Rice. Charli XCX played a bird named Willow in the first Angry Birds movie.
Minaj’s movie credits include Ice Age: Continental Drift, The Other Woman, and Barbershop: The Next Cut.
Since the release of Queen, Nicki has stayed busy, releasing remixes and music videos for songs from the album in addition to guesting on songs by other artists including 6ix9ine and Zayn. She recently announced that Juice WRLD will replace Future on the European leg of her upcoming tour.
