Zeds Dead and Jauz put out their hit collaboration “Lights Go Down” on at the end of 2017 and it’s still one of our favorites. Aside from birthing a co-headlining tour with both artists, the track still routinely gets rinsed and remixed. The latest interpretation comes from hot newcomer PEEKABOO.

PEEKABOO is easily one of the fastest growing artists right now, with a fanatical fan base and the music to back it up. This new remix just goes to show that he has a magic touch, not only with current styles of bass music, but also calling back to the past. Listen back to Flux Pavilion’s BBC 1 Essential Mix from 2012 and you can hear “riddim” before “riddim” was even a thing — it’s that kind of classic sound that PEEKABOO is pushing here in this remix.

Between the epic vocals, with reverb to infinity, and the suspenseful melody worked in beneath the surface, “Lights Go Down” definitely gets a face lift. And once the drop finally hits, you feel the weight of the bass and the history behind it.

Altogether, the remix is fantastic and one of our favorite takes on “Lights Go Down” yet. Check out the new remix from PEEKABOO below, out now on Bite This x Deadbeats.
