Phoebe Bridgers has shared a new version of her song “Chinese Satellite,” released as part of the 25th anniversary of the label Secretly Canadian. Bridgers recorded it in Los Angeles at Sound City Studios, and proceeds from the single go toward the label’s efforts to raise $250,000 toward relieving homelessness in Bloomington, Indiana. Listen to the acoustic re-cut of Punisher’s “Chinese Satellite” below.

The new version of “Chinese Satellite” appears as part of Secretly Canadian’s SC25 Singles series. The label group’s anniversary releases have also included a swath of reissues and a podcast about its history and artist roster.

Bridgers is set to begin a world tour next month, beginning in North America and covering Europe in June before returning to the United States for a West Coast leg in August. In November, she covered Tom Waits’ “Day After Tomorrow” to raise money for the Local Integration & Family Empowerment Division of the International Institute of Los Angeles. She’s more recently launched a monthly SiriusXM radio show named for her Saddest Factory label imprint.
