Yesterday, a 2010 video of newly-elected Democratic Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez dancing to Phoenix’s “Lisztomania” was “circulated” by an anonymous account that attempted to smear the Congresswoman. Instead, Ocasio-Cortez embraced the clip by doubling down with a new dancing video in front of her new office. Today, Phoenix have also showed their support. “Congratulation on being the youngest woman ever being elected to Congress,” they said in a tweet with the original video featuring their Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix track. See it below.

Phoenix’s last album was 2017’s Ti Amo. Read Pitchfork’s feature, “Jason Schwartzman and Phoenix’s Thomas Mars Are Big Fans of Each Other—and Not Just Because They’re Cousins.”
