A month ago, Porter Robinson shared a very personal story regarding his brother’s battle with cancer which kicked off his new foundation the Robinson Malawi Fund. The charitable cause was a feature point of Robinson’s first-ever Second Sky Festival and hosted a booth that accepted donations. Robinson’s goal was to raise $50,000 and he vowed to match every donation. Between donations at Second Sky, online donations, and $1 from Second Sky each ticket, fans raised $77,000, which Porter Robinson matched to bring the total to $154,000. Robinson’s fanbase has proven that they are some of the most devoted fans in the dance community and it’s amazing to see such dedication to one of electronic’s most iconic creators. Online donations to the Robinson Malawi Fund are still being accepted.
