This year, before kickoff and Usher’s halftime show, Super Bowl LVIII will be kicked off with its traditional three performances. Reba McEntire will deliver the national anthem; Post Malone will sing “America the Beautiful”; and Andra Day will perform “Lift Every Voice and Sing.”
Last year, the pre-game ceremony featured Babyface’s performance of “America the Beautiful,” Chris Stapleton playing “The Star-Spangled Banner,” and Abbott Elementary star Sheryl Lee Ralph doing “Lift Every Voice and Sing.” Rihanna did the halftime show last year, and, this year, Jay-Z won an Emmy for co-directing that special.
