The Fyre Festival documentaries on Netflix and Hulu have brought to light a great deal of information surrounding the disaster event. Still, many questions remain — especially when it comes to the insane amount of money spent on promotion.

Festival organizer and convicted fraudster Billy McFarland reportedly raised $26 million from investors and paid out a total of $11.3 million. In an effort to better understand where the money went, there’s an extensive investigation underway.

It’s probable that the agencies which represented high profile promotion models may soon have to give up transaction details. A subpoena is expected for IMG Models, the agency of Bella Hadid and Hailey Bieber. Also, for Kendall Jenner in relation to a whopping $250,000 payment.

These models took part in the social media campaign that instigated insane hype for the “Greatest Party that Never Happened.” It’s believed their influencer status led to the initial success and intrigue behind the name Fyre.

Jerry Media, the online agency backing Fyre festival, as well as financial consultants, investors, and others that received payment face subpoenas in the investigation.

Artists including Soulja Boy and Waka Flocka Flame could potentially be subpoenaed.

Needless to stay, there’s still a lot to be uncovered surrounding the rise and fall of Fyre Festival. Stay tuned for more information as this investigation unfolds.
