Sky Ferreira is no longer listed on the artist roster published on Capitol Records’ website, Variety points out. The development comes after fans emblazoned the words “Free Sky Ferreira” on Times Square billboards and on a plane banner flown over the Capitol Records building in recent months. Unsurprisingly, it was fans who first took notice of the updated roster. Representatives for Capitol declined to comment on Ferreira’s status with the label. Pitchfork has reached out to Ferreira.

Ferreira has been signed to Capitol since the start of her career. The label released her last album, 2013’s Night Time, My Time. In the years since, she’s discussed the follow-up album Masochism, which never materialized. She has publicly criticized Capitol multiple times. In recent months, Ferreira has offered her public support of fans’ “Free Sky Ferreira” movement. Her last new song was 2022’s “Don’t Forget.”
