Snail Mail’s Lush highlight “Pristine” has a brand new version where Lindsey Jordan sings in “Simlish,” the gibberish language spoken by the people inhabiting the world of “The Sims.” The word “pristine,” for example, translates to “rizbeen.” The new version was recorded for “The Sims 4: Island Living.” Have a listen below.

In a statement, Lindsey Jordan said:

It was really hilarious working with the producer of Lush [during the re-record into Simlish] and trying to be serious the whole time! It came pretty naturally to me for some reason. Maybe I’m a sim.

Jordan joins a legacy of bands re-recording their songs in Simlish, including Car Seat Headrest and Tegan & Sara.

Snail Mail is performing on July 21 at this year’s Pitchfork Music Festival, which takes place at Chicago’s Union Park. Tickets are available now.
