The nominees for the 2024 Grammy Award for Album of the Year have all been revealed. Taylor Swift’s Midnights will compete against SZA’s highly-anticipated LP SOS, Lana Del Rey’s latest Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd, and Olivia Rodrigo’s sophomore effort Guts. Also in the running are Boygenius’ debut full-length The Record, Janelle Monáe’s The Age of Pleasure, Miley Cyrus’ Endless Summer Vacation, and World Music Radio by Jon Batiste.

Swift’s Album of the Year nod marks her sixth nomination in the category, putting her in a tie with Barbra Streisand for most Album of the Year nominations by a female artist. If Midnights is victorious, Swift will become the first artist to win Album of the Year four times. Her current three wins—for Fearless, 1989, and folklore—put her in an elite group with other three-time winners Frank Sinatra, Paul Simon, and Stevie Wonder.

Swift is also up for Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Pop Solo Performance, all for “Anti-Hero,” as well as Best Pop Vocal Album for Midnights and Best Pop Duo/Group performance for “Karma” featuring Ice Spice.

SOS is SZA’s first studio LP to receive an Album of the Year nomination at the Grammys. SZA won her first golden gramophone in 2022, earning the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance trophy alongside Doja Cat for their hit single “Kiss Me More.” This year, the singer and songwriter will compete in nine categories total. In addition to Album of the Year, she’s up for Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best R&B Performance, all for “Kill Bill.”

SOS also earned her a nod for Best Progressive R&B Album, while tracks like “Love Language,” “Snooze,” and “Low” are up for Best Traditional R&B Performance, Best R&B Song, and Best Melodic Rap Performance, respectively. SZA is once again nominated in the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance category—along fellow Grammy nominee Phoebe Bridgers—for their collaborative song “Ghost in the Machine.”
