Three days after releasing her new album Midnights, Taylor Swift sat down for an interview on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. She talked about her songwriting process, getting her honorary degree from NYU, and her new music video for “Bejeweled,” which she said has “a psychotic amount” of easter eggs that she kept track of in a PDF file. Swift also teased a tour in support of Midnights, saying, “I think I should do it. When it’s time, we’ll do it. I miss it.” Watch clips from her interview below.

Midnights is Swift’s 10th studio album following 2020’s Evermore. The album was produced by longtime collaborator Jack Antonoff, who also performed on some of the recordings. It includes the single “Anti-Hero” and also includes guest vocals from Lana Del Rey on the song “Snow on the Beach,” as well as contributions form Zoë Kravitz and Swift’s boyfriend Joe Alwyn, who is credited under the pseudonym William Bowery.

Following the October 21 release of Midnights, Swift unveiled an extended “3am Edition” of the album, which includes seven additional tracks. These songs, which were written during Midnights’ conception, include contributions from Aaron and Bryce Dessner of the National, as well as Bon Iver songwriter Justin Vernon.

Since releasing Evermore in 2020, Swift has been re-recording her first six albums, which were sold to the music executive Scooter Braun in 2019. So far, she’s released re-recorded versions of 2008’s Fearless and 2012’s Red.
