Jeffrey Lee Pierce, the leader of Los Angeles punk band The Gun Club, is the subject of a new documentary, as Deadline reports. Elvis From Hell is directed by Heiko Lange and Jessica Andree, and it features interviews with artists including Nick Cave, Jack White, Debbie Harry, Iggy Pop, Jim Jarmusch, Mark Lanegan, Moby, and more. The film will cover the singer/guitarist’s life and career through his death in 1996 at age 37 from causes related to heroin addiction, alcoholism, and HIV. Elvis From Hell is due out in 2020.
