In 2017 when all the Fyre Festival drama was just coming to a head, The Lonely Island and Seth Rogen joked that they were making a movie at the time that sounded a lot like what was happening in real life. It’s been almost two years since then and we’re willing to bet that most people have forgotten about the throwaway tweets; however, to our pleasure, it seems that movie is still happening.

In a new interview with The Daily Beast, Lonely Island’s Jorma Taccone confirmed the news.

“I don’t want to divulge all the details but we’re figuring it out right now,” he said.

Taccone is reportedly a big fan of the Netflix doc out right now, but doesn’t see their own film following that style. He says it could be more akin to The Lonely Island’s first silver screen foray, Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping.

“You’ve seen the docs, right? It’s crazy. This is something that Akiva and Seth cooked up, and we’re figuring it all out right now.”
