The Magnetic Fields have announced a 30th anniversary reissue of 1992’s The House of Tomorrow. The EP was the group’s first release after former singer, the late Susan Anway, left the band. Previously released on 7″ vinyl and CD, it gets a 12″ vinyl reissue on January 28 via Merge.

“This was my first time singing on record,” Stephin Merritt said in a statement, saying that he attempted to sound “simple” on the EP. “But now, listening back, I hear a little too much vocal influence from the Jesus and Mary Chain. (I really should move to Scotland. I belong there.)”
