On December 2, Billboard announced that Travis Scott’s Astroworld would return to No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart. Debuting at No. 2 that week was Tekashi 6ix9ine’s DUMMY BOY. Shortly after the announcement, rumors swirled that there was a possible counting error that could have led to some of 6ix9ine’s sales and streams being missed. On December 4, Billboard revealed that Nielsen Music was looking into the sales numbers “due to a processing discrepancy.”

Now, TMZ reports that Astroworld will remain the No. 1 album for the week in question (December 8). A spokesperson for Billboard reportedly told TMZ, “In a historically close race, after a rigorous review of the process and the methodology by which the No. 1 ranking on last week’s Billboard 200 album chart was awarded to Travis Scott’s Astroworld, we concluded that no correction was warranted.”
