Simplify Recordings has premiered another new release by up-and-coming DJ and producer Trunks. Following the success of his previous track “Landing”, Trunks brings an uplifting, instrumental representation of his signature trap-infused EDM style.
As its title suggests, this new single “Nimbus” brings us soaring through the clouds in a head-bobbing track with an infectiously catchy melody. Angelic vocals harmoniously breathe into its bouncy rhythm, contrasted with trap-style sample cuts, flowing beneath buoyantly buzzy synths. The song is a lively amalgam of glitchy samples and well-layered chops formed into an ephemeral, pleasantly intoxicating single.
Trunk has been honing his skills in the DJ circuit for years, and is now among the fastest up-and-coming artists in the scene. After moving to LA from his native Atlanta, Trunks has played a multitude of notable Hollywood venues, and his online presence is gaining increasing traction as his style continues to evolve.
