The Internet broke last week when a mysterious project from GØAT arrived on SoundCloud. Fans and bloggers alike made the presumptuous assumption that the project was a new side project by Flume, but they were unfortunately mistaken. r/Flume moderator u/JonathanRaue has since cleared up the confusion with a long and detailed Reddit post explaining that the account and self-promotion are in no way associated with Flume. The five-track mixtape released by the fraudulent project did a good job mimicking Flume’s style but there was something off about it that just didn’t seem right.
