Dave performed “In the Fire” at the 2022 BRIT Awards, and it was a show-closing spectacle. Joined by Fredo, Ghetts, Meekz, Giggs, and a gospel choir, the performance ended when he shredded through a guitar solo while the guitar literally shot flames into the sky. Watch it happen below.

Dave received his first BRIT Awards nomination in 2018; he got a nod for British Breakthrough Act, which ultimately went to Dua Lipa. The rapper truly made his mark on the BRITs in 2020 when he got four nominations, including Album of the Year, which he won for Psychodrama. He also called Prime Minister Boris Johnson of Britain “a real racist” during an iconic performance of “Black.”

Dave was nominated for four awards at the 2022 BRITs: MasterCard Album of the Year (We’re All Alone in This Together), Artist of the Year, Song of the Year (“Clash”), and Best Hip Hop/Grime/Rap Act. He won the BRIT Award for Best Hip Hop/Grime/Rap Act.
