Last night, Ella Mai made her “Saturday Night Live” premiere as a musical guest. The episode was hosted by Steve Carell. Watch her perform “Boo’d Up” and “Trip” from her self-titled debut album below. The episode also featured a Ruth Bader Ginsburg sketch that parodied Sheck Wes.
Last week’s “SNL” episode featured Halsey and Swizz Beatz-assisted performances from Lil Wayne as well as a skit with Future. Ella Mai arrived last month and features guest appearances by H.E.R., John Legend, and Chris Brown. DJ Mustard handled most of the LP’s production. Earlier this year, Nicki Minaj and Quavo joined a remix of her breakout hit “Boo’d Up.”
